Finally cold!

After an extremely dry autum the hope for ice was small already in december. The heavy snowfalls and mild temperatures afterwards did not really improve the situation. Therefore the ice climbing activities have been focused very much on drytooling. The last polar front brought not the perfect conditions, but some icicles have been growing. This motivation was the start for some ice climbing activities together with Benni Purner. We started not far from home, at Igler Straße where I could flash Picco's demanding mixedroute (name and grade I don't know). Furthermore we drove to Osttirol to a secret spot, where we found a precious ice line. At icy temps we could realise a redpoint ascent (probably the first repetition) of "Ground launch". At this route already some teams struggled on a free ascent because of the challengeing rock structure. Anyway we had to drive quite far for some few pitches, but we had a great time out.
