End of ice season

Stefan rocks at Kitzgartenfall WI4

When looking at the outside temperature it seems as the ice season is on its end. Actually it does not really matter, because I am tired and burned out after a long and intense season. Nevertheless this winter was my best ice season ever, it was incredible how many ideas I could realise. As a worthy end of season climb a line on the amazing Renkfälle was the choice, together with a special partner - Markus Bendler. We had a great day out on the perfect ice of the Renkfalls - La Linea WI6 is in perfect conditions! Here the tope of the first ascender: Topo Florian Schranz. With a smile on my face I am hanging my tools into the cellar now and are heading to Arco for some rock climbing.

Already last week, Ellen and Stefan have been to Tyrol to work on everything about ice climbing. We started with an intense day to improve their climbing technique at the Kitzgartenschlucht in Pitztal and increased our programm day by day. We did ascents of Gasthausfall and Luibisbodenfall as well as an exploration of the Renkfälle on the last day. It was a sucessfull ice climbing seminar with pumped forearms and smiling faces!
